About Guthrie's River Ruckus
Guthrie's River Ruckus is a concert held annually in Guthrie Center, Iowa. The Ruckus is an outdoor event located at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds. In addition to standing room in front of the stage, there is a new Grandstands seating area for your viewing pleasure. The date of the Ruckus this year is July 28th. Be sure to set the date in your calendar, and feel free to make a weekend out of by camping at one of the Guthrie County Fairground's over 200 camp sites.
Guthrie County Fairgrounds
Guthrie's River Ruckus is located at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds in Guthrie Center, Iowa. It is just 50 miles west of Des Moines, about 20 miles north of I-80, and 25 miles east of Audubon. The fairgrounds are on the west side of town on Highway 44, just past Mitchell City Park and the Raccoon River. Of course, since it is located at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds, you and your family will be able to park your camper at one of the Guthrie County Fairground's over 200 camp sites.
Camping
Guthrie's River Ruckus has drawn quite a crowd of campers the past few years. The Guthrie County Fairgrounds camp site offers over 200 spots with electricity for you to use should you choose to bring your camper to the River Ruckus. The camp site is conveniently located within easy walking distance from the concert which helps make the decision for a family weekend at the Ruckus much easier.
The camping spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and the price is $12 per day.
