Mission Creek Festival is happening in Iowa City April 4-9, 2017. Now in its twelfth year of bringing diverse performances, literary events, and community engagement to multiple venues throughout downtown, Mission Creek is committed to exploring and showcasing live performance, the literary arts, and radical community happenings. This year we are collaborating with Hancher and SCOPE Productions to bring Andrew Bird and My Brightest Diamond to the new Hancher Auditorium stage. Four-time Grammy nominee Margaret Cho will bring her socially-aware and unabashedly honest stand-up comedy to the festival for a show sponsored by Studio 13 and IC Pride. Poet and Buzzfeed culture editor Saeed Jones will read from his own work, curate a reading of emerging writers, and engage with local area students. Award-winning singer-songwriter and opera composer Rufus Wainwright will present a solo performance at The Englert Theatre.
A festival pass grants access to all Mission Creek Festival ticketed performances (music, comedy). Entrance to ticketed events at The Englert Theatre and Hancher is guaranteed at all times. Entrance to other venues is subject to capacity. Special programs like culinary events are not included in the festival pass and require the purchase of additional tickets.
ALL PASS SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds or exchanges. All acts and performers are subject to change without notice. Lost or stolen passes cannot be replaced. Passholders are subject to the rules and regulations of any venue they attend as part of the festival. The management of each venue reserves the right to remove any person who violates the rules of the venue or any local, state, or federal laws.
